Attention Training Content 1:1 (Tier 1)

Training Modules Overview

Sessions are 50 minutes and include homework exercises tailored to individual needs. Generally, it takes 8-12 sessions to cover 4 key areas that greatly influence attention which are:

  1. Attention mechanics. By understanding how attention works, we can learn how to fine-tune it, just like adjusting a car engine.

  2. The “System” which includes:

    • The mind

    • The emotions

    • The nervous system

    • The body

  3. The subconscious mind (deep-rooted beliefs)

  4. Relationships. Relationships can sometimes be a problem source of distraction or an inspiration that can attention enhancement.

Attention Mechanics

  • How Attention Works

    • Understand the five types of attention and where they occur in the brain (right vs. left hemisphere).

    • Explore how various activities impact attention types.

  • Right vs. Left Hemisphere

    • Learn how the characteristics of each hemisphere influence decision-making.

    • Discover how engaging the wrong attention type can lead to stress, and how engaging the correct type improves focus.

  • Attention vs. Awareness

    • Understand the difference between attention and awareness, and how good attention leads to deeper insights.

    • Practice exercises that strengthen individual hemisphere attention.

The System – Mind, Body, Emotions, and Nervous System

  • The System Overview

    • Learn how the mind, body, emotions, and nervous system work together to influence attention.

    • Understand the role of the limbic system in this coordination.

  • The Mind

    • Explore how thoughts and ideas shape attention.

    • Practice managing thoughts to improve focus.

  • Emotions

    • Understand and interpret emotions.

    • Practice emotional regulation and explore its impact on attention.

  • The Nervous System

    • Identify nervous system sensations and recognize reactive or impulsive states.

    • Practice techniques to regulate the nervous system.

  • The Body

    • Learn how physical health impacts attention.

    • Explore body regulation techniques like breathwork and gentle movement.

The Subconscious Mind

  • Automatic Attention and Self-Identity

    • Discover how attention can be predetermined and is shaped by anticipation, belief, and self-identity.

    • Learn to differentiate between intuition, anxiety, and impulse.

    • Visualization and meditation exercises to correct unhelpful subconscious patterns that negatively steal attention.

Interpersonal Dynamics (Relationships)

    • Learn how managing your system (mind, body, emotions, and nervous system) improves interactions and social cue awareness.

  • Empathy and System Regulation

    • Learn to recognize others' system states and respond with empathy.

    • Demonstrate good system regulation to help others learn sills naturally and foster healthier relational dynamics.

Cognitive Longevity Program (Tier 2)

Available for individuals who have completed Attention Training (Tier I):

Tier 2 is a more intensive program that builds on the foundations of Tier 1 but includes deeper cognitive and physical health assessments, lab testing, and nutritional interventions. This program is tailored for individuals seeking to optimize long-term cognitive health and reduce risk factors of cognitive decline.
